رئيس رابطة كاريتاس لبنان يستقبل وفدا نروجيا في المركزية سن الفيل

استقبل رئيس رابطة كاريتاس لبنان الأب ميشال عبود، في المركزية سن الفيل، وفدا نروجيا ضم كلا من مستشارة الإغاثة الإنسانية في كاريتاس النروج بنديك سورفيك والملحقة للمساعدات الإنسانية في السفارة النروجية في لبنان كريستين كنودسن، بحضور المدير التنفيذي في الرابطة جيلبير زوين، مديرة البرامج نايلة خوري، رئيسة إدارة المنح ماري آنوشاهوديان ورئيس قسم تطوير الأعمال لمى سرور. واطّلع الوفد خلال اللقاء، على استراتيجيات التنفيذ لكاريتاس لبنان، وبشكل خاص على جهود الاستجابة الطارئة في الجنوب.
وبعد الاجتماع، رافق الأب عبود ورئيسة قسم تطوير الأعمال، الضيوف إلى المركز الرئيسي لوحدة الاستجابة في حالات الطوارىء في حالات، حيث استقبلهم رئيس قسم الطوارىء بيتر محفوظ ونائبه منسّق الطوارىء سمير حدّاد. وخلال زيارتهم، تم إطلاع الوفد على الوضع الأمني ​​الحالي في لبنان وخاصة في الجنوب، فضلا عن استعداد واستجابة كاريتاس لبنان لحالة الطوارئ التي تحدث، وكيف تدعم كاريتاس العائلات التي لا تزال في القرى الحدودية من جهة، والعائلات التي نزحت نحو بيروت وجبل لبنان من جهة أخرى.
الى ذلك، قام الوفد بجولة داخل المركز للاطلاع على الجهوزية وسير العمل.

Father Michel Abboud, alongside the Executive Director Gilbert Zouein, the Director of Programs Nayla El Khoury, Head of Grants Management Mary Anoushahodian and Head of Business Development Lama Srour, warmly welcomed a Norwegian Delegation, that included the Humanitarian Adviser at Caritas Norway Bendik Sorvig and the Attache for humanitarian aid at the Norwegian Embassy in Lebanon Christine Knudsen, at Caritas Headquarters in Sin El Fil, where they delved into Caritas Lebanon’s impactful implementation strategies, and focused in particular on our Emergency Response efforts in the South.
Following the discussions, Father Abboud, accompanied by the Head of Business Development, escorted our guests to the main center of our Emergency Response Unit in Halat, where they were received by the Head of Emergencies Department Peter Mahfouz and the Emergency Deputy Coordinator Samir Haddad.
During their visit, they were briefed about the current security situation in Lebanon and especially in the South, as well as the preparedness and response of Caritas Lebanon to the Emergency happening, how Caritas is supporting families that are still in the border villages and IDPs that moved toward Beirut and Mount Lebanon.
The delegation was then treated to an insightful tour in the center, witnessing firsthand the dedication and efficiency of our operations.
